Nobel Biocare™ SCREWS
NobelActive™
Nobel Biocare™ includes final screws (Fig.1) with each abutment as a complete kit, although final screw should not be used for the abutments during the restoration fabrication process. Separate laboratory screws (Fig.2) are offered by Nobel for this
purpose and must be purchased separately. Each screw can be serviced with a Unigrip™ driver. NP abutment screws (Fig.1, 2 left) are machined differently than RP/WP abutment screws (Fig.1, 2 right) and can not be interchanged from platform to platform. Titanium and zirconia abutments share the same screw design unlike NobelReplace™, Replace™ Select and Brånemark System™ abutments.

Final screws (Fig.3) are included with each abutment as a complete kit, although final screws should not be used for the abutments during the restoration fabrication process. Separate laboratory screws (Fig.4) are offered by Nobel and each screw can be serviced with a Unigrip™ driver regardless of laboratory or final screw. Each platform diameter (NP 3.5, RP 4.1, WP 5.0mm) screw has its own
dimensions and can not be interchanged from platform to platform. Laboratory screws are silver in color to differentiate the screws from final screws while final screws are colored black with the exception of NP platform final screws. NP platform final abutment screws are silver in color. Screws for titanium (Fig.3, top row) and zirconia (Fig.3, bottom row) abutments differ slightly and should not be interchanged
NobelReplace™, Replace™ Select
NNNobel Biocare™ includes final screws (Fig.5) with each abutment as a complete kit, although final screw should not be used for the abutments during the restoration fabrication process. Separate laboratory screws (Fig.6) are offered by Nobel. Each screw can be serviced with a Unigrip™ driver. Zirconia (Fig.5, bottom row) and titanium (Fig.5, top row) abutment screws are machined to different dimensions and should not be interchanged. NP (3.5mm) platform screws (Fig.5, 6 left) work only within the NP platform group while RP (4.3mm), WP (5.0mm) and 6.0mm platform screws (Fig.5, 6 right) are interchangeable from platform to platform as long as the
appropriate abutment material screw is utilized. Final screws for NP platform zirconia and titanium abutments are silver colored while final screws for all other platform group titanium abutments are colored a dull black color. RP, WP and 6.0 final screws for zirconia abutments are machined with a longer shaft and a shiny black surface finish with a silver colored head. Laboratory screws are manufactured with a silver color, regardless of the platform diameter.
